RotofoilTM

The Admix RotofoilTM is een energie zuinig low-shear roerwerk die uitermate geschikt is voor het mengen van vloeistoffen en suspenderen van niet oplosbare ingrediënten. De RotofoilTM voorkomt sedimentatie, distribueert warmte in en circuleert vloeistoffen energie efficiënt. Dit roerwerk is geschikt voor opslagtanks en batch tanks waarin vloeistoffen met een viscositeit tot 5.000 mPa's worden verwerkt. Vanwege de hoge debiet en stuwkracht wordt de RotofoilTM is often used to save energy (up to 80%), or to keep fluids with a high viscosity in motion.

Hydrodynamic design

Like an airplane wing, a mixing impeller creates turbulence from the rear of the impeller blades if the front angle is too steep. Turbulence draws a lot of power and energy away from creating flow. The hydrodynamic RotofoilTM uses almost all the energy put into it to move fluid. Due to the stable design, only a minimum of turbulence is wasted.

BLADE DESIGN

Highly efficient RotofoilTM blade design:

The unique properties of the RotofoilTM impeller blades result in a highly efficient mixer with low energy consumption that produces uniform flow and minimal turbulence.

PROFILE

The blade has a tapered width where it is narrow at the tip (where the speed is greatest), and wider at the base (where the speed is lowest). This shape ensures an even liquid flow over the entire impeller diameter.

TWIST

The rotation in the RotofoilTM blade decreases evenly from the drive shaft to the tip. The twist has been carefully designed and sized to avoid turbulence.

ARCH

The arch, or radius of the blade is strong and directs the flow downwards:

This offers a low angle of attack on the leading edge, while the trailing edge can direct powerful currents downwards.

This strengthens the blade, making it four times stronger, even though it weighs about a third less than a traditional impeller of the same diameter. In addition, the RotofoilTM blade is 50% thinner, further contributing to lower power consumption.
