Rotosolver®

The patented Rotosolver® is a multifunctional high shear mixer perfectly designed for dispersing, emulsifying, hydrating ingredients. The Rotosolver® excels in its mixing speed and pump volumes. With the aid of a frequency controller, the pump speed of the Rotosolver® can be controlled, which means that it is often used for both dispersing and keeping liquids homogeneous. The Rotosolver® mixing head and drive shaft are completely made of 316 stainless steel, have no moving parts that come into contact with the liquid and meet the strict hygiene standards of the food industry. The Rotosolver® is NOT a rotor-stator mixer.

4-stage mixing action

The Rotosolver® combines the shear capabilities of a toothed rotor and a slot stator with the added benefit of high flow/circulation from the twin rotor blades. This unique mixing head design of the disperser provides a four-stage mixing action:

The product stream is drawn into the mixing head from above and below. As the flow is drawn, materials and powders drawn from the top down are immediately exposed to two additional mechanical shear zones and one shear zone from the bottom. These materials are then immediately mechanically fractured by the teeth on the rotor discharge at the top and bottom of the stator.

The two high velocity, countercurrent flows converge in the stator and cause high turbulence and hydraulic shear, without loss of momentum due to obstacles in the stator.

Centrifugal pressure forces material to the outside of the stator where it is subjected to further mechanical shear from the ground edges of the expanded slots in the stator.

The high speed radial discharge is combined with a slower moving tank flow for additional hydraulic shear and circulation
